DARKFALL Re-VISITED

For those of you that do not know, Darkfall is a skill-based MMORPG which is focused on large scale PvP. These large scale battles are fought over player run cities and can easily consist 100’s of players. Darkfall is also a full-loot MMO.  What does that mean? When you are killed, you can be looted by your killer. Anything and everything you are wearing or carrying in your bag is up for grabs. While this may seem a bit harsh it is balanced by the fact that just about anything obtainable in the game, can be obtained in a relatively short period of time… but can you hold onto those items for very long? This is a game were PvP actually means something. I have not seen this kind of Risk vs. Reward since Ultima Online.

Darkfall is based on battling over guild rivalries, resources and player cities. Each clan battles another or forges alliances to obtain city/hamlet. These cities/hamlets have resources, which are used to strengthen the guild. The city resources can be Mines (Ore), Quarries (Stone), Groves (Timber), Shipyards (Ships), and Farms (Food). Some cities have multiple nodes of these resources, and some have none. The main resources, Ore, Timber, and Food, can all be gathered in the wild. Ore nodes, in cities, have a chance to drop rare ores. These ores can be utilized in advanced crafting. At this time, these rare ores cannot be obtained by mining in the wild, but there are discussions by the developers to put this into the game in a future expansion/patch.

For those that played Darkfall EU, there have been quite a few changes. First and foremost, hackers are not as prevalent as they were in the Wild West days of Darkfall. I am not stating that hackers do not exist anymore in Darkfall, but it is definitely not as prevalent. Also, the old days of grinding melee swings on people at the chaos stone is over. Darkfall has instituted a new system for leveling up your melee and magic skills. Now whenever you take part in PvE, your melee skills level up 3x as fast, and magic levels up 6x as fast when cast on PvE mobs. While this does not completely kill the grind, it does make it more acceptable.

We currently have a handful of Legion playing on the North American server, but would like to see more. If you are bored, in between games, want some good pvp, or just want to play something with guild members, then give Darkfall a look. If we have enough interest we can explore the possibility of creating Legion in Darkfall.

If you have any question please jump in vent or get a hold of Nomono or myself.

LEGION enters into the Abyss

After five weeks in Aion, we are now 50 strong and a tier 3 guild.  We have been adventuring into the Abyss, and working on some organized PvP events.  We have also been running the Training Grounds with several all guild groups.

We are still actively recruiting players, with an emphasis on the mage classes.

Legion Enters Aion

Legion has recently started a new chapter in the game Aion. The majority of our active membership have left their current MMO’s/games for this game. So far Aion has proved to be a stable and fun game with loads of content.  Aion was released in Korea six months before the U.S. servers launched, so the game is virtually bug free.  For those Legion members not currently playing we ask you to come join the rest of the guild. We hope to see you all in game.

Aion Info:
Faction: Asmodian
Server: Marchutan
